Pep Vidal

Born in 1980, Pep Vidal lives and works in Barcelona. He holds a degree in mathematics and a doctorate in physics. His work lies at the intersection of art and science, focusing on phenomena at the edge of perception. Through drawing, measurement, and experimentation, he explores slow, continuous processes, often invisible to the naked eye. His works highlight gradual transformations—imbalances, shifts, accumulations—that only become perceptible when they produce an effect. Vidal sometimes uses tools from scientific research to observe and quantify these phenomena, while developing a minimal and precise visual language.
